August PEG Meeting Scheduled
Hello Parents and Friends,

I am pleased to announce the next meeting of the Parent Exploratory Group (PEG) is scheduled for:

                   Date:    Thursday, August 21, 2003
                   Time:    6:30 to 8:00 PM
                   Place:   Hershey Public Library
                                          701 Cocoa Avenue
                                          Hershey

Directions:

From the Harrisburg Area:

- Travel East on Route 322 towards Hershey

- Continue straight onto Route 422 East and continue into Hershey

- Travel on Route 422 East through the first traffic signal at University Drive, the second traffic signal at Hockersville Road, the third traffic signal at Ridge Road and proceed on to the square in Hershey

- Approaching the square in Hershey get into the right turn lane and proceed through the first traffic signal in the square

- At the second traffic signal in the square turn right on to Cocoa Avenue

- Proceed South on Cocoa Avenue approximately one mile. You will pass the Derry Township Recreation Center (playground, sports and pool complex) on your left

- The Hershey Public Library is immediately past the Derry Township Recreation Center on your left

Meeting Details:

We plan for a very informal agenda much like the previous PEG meetings:

1. We would like to discuss our current projects (including items from our June 16 PEG meeting) as well as any new ideas for how PEG can be of service to you.

2. We would like to allow time for discussions with the group of issues or questions that you might have. It could be regarding a lesson from the Parent Seminar, or maybe there is a situation with your teenager or your family that you would like the group to explore, or maybe you have an insight you would like to share. This is our time and we are here to help and support each other.

3. I may demonstrate a new lesson regarding the nature of our relationships.

4. And finally, we should discuss among us options and locations for hosting future PEG meetings.

Refreshments:

Let's not worry about food this time as our meeting time is shorter (The library closes at 8:00pm) and clean up will only take time away from our meeting. We feel it is much more important that we get together and share with one another.

Meeting Summary:

For those of you on this distribution list who are outside of the geographic area, we very much want you to be included in what we are doing. I will again provide a summary of this meeting on the PEG page of the Affective Skills Web Site for you also to see and read.
