School Partners Get Results
Our School Partners program was excited and extremely pleased to receive a response to its letter to state Sen. Allyson Schwartz, D-Philadelphia. Our letter provided awareness and information concerning the affective skills education program in operation at the Dauphin County Technical School (DCTS).

The return correspondence from Senator Schwartz's chief of staff promised a future visit by the Senator to DCTS and requested support for Senator Schwartz's introduced legislation aimed at encouraging character education programs in state schools.

Our efforts came in reaction to an article in the Sunday Patriot News detailing the "Discovery Process" program at the Halifax Middle School and the efforts of Senator Schwartz regarding character education ( For more information see School Partners Respond).

You may view the response from Senator Schwartz's office in its entirety by clicking here.

To view Senator Schwartz's proposed legislation click here to enter the Pennsylvania State Senate's Electronic Bill Room. Type SB1465 into the input line for Chamber/Document Type/Number and then clck on the "GO!" button. Once in the "Bill Information" screen for SB 1465, click on the "Text" link to view the bill.

We would very much love to have you with us.
